7 Things We’re Thankful for This Thanksgiving

AS THE SEASON OF GRATITUDE ARRIVES, WE WANT TO TAKE A MOMENT TO REFLECT ON THE PEOPLE, PROJECTS, AND PURPOSE THAT HAVE SHAPED OUR YEAR.
In 2025, we celebrated milestones and deepened our commitment to use our business as a force for good.
Thanksgiving is a time to pause, appreciate, and celebrate the journey, and we have so much to be thankful for. Here are 7 things we’re thankful for this Thanksgiving:
1. THE POWER OF PURPOSE-DRIVEN DESIGN
2025 reminded us that design is about positively transforming people’s lives. From affordable housing projects to institutional spaces, we’ve seen how thoughtful design can uplift lives, improve user experiences, and foster connection. We’re grateful to be part of a profession that designs with intention and heart.

2. OUR INCREDIBLE TEAM
AD&V® thrives because of the passionate, creative, and dedicated individuals who make up our team. Whether working remotely or collaborating in person, their commitment to excellence and adaptability is something we are deeply grateful for.
This year, we celebrated two incredible milestone AD&Versaries—Carla Joan González and Gina Tormos, each marking 10 years of dedication, leadership, and heart. We’re thankful for every brainstorm and breakthrough moment shared together, and for the culture of teamwork, resilience, and collaboration that gives working at AD&V® meaning and purpose.
3. SUSTAINABILITY AS A STANDARD
2025 has been a milestone year for us in climate-conscious design. With initiatives like Climate Week and using frameworks from the AIA 2030 Commitment, we’re proud to be part of a growing movement that prioritizes the planet. We’re thankful for every opportunity to design sustainably and responsibly. And we continue to learn and make breakthroughs by being more intentional and selective with the projects we take on.
4. COMMUNITY RESILIENCE
In a year marked by global challenges and uncertainty, we’ve witnessed the strength of communities coming together. From climate action to cultural preservation, we’re thankful for the grassroots movements and civic leaders who remind us that change begins at home.
Through our AD&Volunteers efforts, our team had the opportunity to give back by supporting local initiatives and lending our time to causes that matter. We’re proud to stand alongside those working to build a more resilient Puerto Rico.
5. EMPOWERING FUTURE DESIGNERS AT THIS YEAR’S AD&VANTAGE NIGHT
For the second year in a row, we welcomed high school students from 9th to 12th grade to our AD&Vantage Night—an inspiring evening designed to introduce young minds to the exciting worlds of architecture and interior design.
These events offered students a glimpse into potential career paths and provided valuable guidance for higher education and pathways to the profession. We’re thankful for the opportunity to empower the next generation to make informed decisions and pursue bright, successful futures.
6. OUR INTERNSHIP PROGRAM & RISING TALENT
We’re incredibly thankful for the bright, motivated interns who joined us this year through our Internship Program. Their fresh perspectives, eagerness to learn, and contributions to real-world projects brought new energy to our studio.
At AD&V®, we believe in nurturing future professionals by offering hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to the full spectrum of architecture and interior design. Watching our interns grow and thrive reminds us that the future of design is in good hands.
7. MOMENTS OF JOY & REFLECTION
Whether it’s a coffee break, a team celebration, or a walk through a newly completed project, we cherish the small moments that make the journey meaningful. Gratitude lives in these everyday experiences, and we’re thankful for each one.
