ABOUT THE AUTHOR | AD&V® is dedicated to advanced and energy-efficient sustainable architecture & interior design that enhances people’s experience of the world and improves their lives.
Joining AD&V’s internship program is a great learning experience that will provide you the tools you need to succeed in your career.
If you’re looking for an architecture or interior design program, then look no further! AD&V’s internship program will provide you with an experience that will help you grow professionally even after the program is over.
Here are 5 benefits of joining AD&V’s internship program:
1. OUR HEADQUARTERS
A benefit of interning at AD&V is that you will also experience the perks of working at our Office Headquarters. This means that you will get to work in a space where you will have access to comfortable ergonomic furniture with standing desks, an architecture and interior design library, meeting rooms, work areas, an open terrace space, and even a meditation room!.
Our office also has biophilic design elements like green walls and nature views that address your wellbeing while you work. Not to mention that you will also be in a centric location since the office is located across from the Sheraton Hotel, the Puerto Rico Convention Center, and the Distrito T-Mobile.
As an intern, you will be a member of a thriving team dedicated to sustainable architecture and interior design that enhances people’s experience of the world and improves their lives.
By collaborating and working on projects, you will gain insight into how our team grasps the essence of a place and its true purpose in the community and showcases it through world-class design. You will get a glimpse into how we materialize a client’s vision successfully.
3. HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE
Our internship program is a unique opportunity for students who want to gain exposure into the architecture and design industry. During the program you will learn, practice, and develop new skills needed to succeed in the architecture and interior design world.
From sketching and designing, to renderings and site visits, our internship program will provide you with an inside look into how the industry operates.
4. COMPENSATION & CERTIFIED HOURS
Other benefits of our internship program are compensation and certified hours. At AD&V, we do not believe in hiring unpaid interns. We believe in fostering growth and elevating the profession. It’s important to us that our interns are rightfully paid for their hard work and service.
As part of our internship program, we also ensure that a licensed professional certifies all of your hours so that they count towards the Architectural Experience Program® (AXP®) that’s developed by NCARB and required by most U.S. licensing boards. We know how essential these hours are for becoming a licensed architect and we want to help you get there.
One of the benefits of doing an internship program at AD&V is that our AD&V Team of professionals will share their expertise and experience and assist you along the way. You will be able to develop a mentoring relationship that you can continue long after your internship has ended.
Our team will also gladly help you with any references or recommendation letters needed after the program. At AD&V, we want to see you succeed!
Joining AD&V’s internship program is beneficial for anyone who wants to pursue a career in architecture or interior design. You’ll be a part of an integrated team that values the importance of design and who’s skills, artistry, commitment to social responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to work together help projects materialize faster and more effectively.
